Water Resources Department
Monroe, North Carolina
THC provided real estate acquisition services to the City of Monroe Water Resources Department. Two separate projects were awarded to THC based on our qualifications to complete both jobs in a very short time frame. The first project involved the acquisition of 78 easements for water mains, gravity sewer mains, pump station and forcemain in the Annexation Area. The second project was for 28 easements necessary to construct a grinder pump sewer collection system within platted subdivisions around a lake.
With the Notice to Proceed, THC held a kick-off meeting with the Water Resources Department staff to confirm the scope and timetable. THC then gathered the contact information on every property owner, initiated contact, presented initial and secondary offers, and maintained an information log on each property owner. The project was completed within 80 days, as requested by the client.
